Thank You BK sir...it's one of my favorite too. I had the sudden idea when I saw a lamp being lit @butterfly....The samudra group is one of the most acclaimed in non conventional dance over here
I liked the first picture. It is captured in its real vibrancy and passion.
The sea, moon and the hookah make a terrific combo to lose oneself.
The statue picture. It almost seems as it the statue is gazing at the world passing by. We can even say that while the whole world passes by, the statue is lone figure standing rooted and observing everything patiently.
I liked every picture but the three mentioned above struck a chord.
nice collection. so much character and variety! i love all the interaction between elements in your photos. you're not trying to tune anything out, just recording moments at their best. ^_^
@ susan...hookah was from Goan beach. The statue is actually Subash Chandra Bose. They had restructured the entire area and allowed the statue to stand
@vencora.. I make sure that the angles are right to get the right mood. I dont like much of fotoshop
Thank You Renu...the park bench is from trivandrum, beach from Kozhikkode
I have seen Kozhikode beach aand though i have seen many more, but still I liked that very much..that time it had rocks there instead of flat ground on the shore.
Oh yes, I love travelling.meeting new people and learning about different cultures..seen Cochin, munnar and Kozhikode..thiruanantpuram and kumarkoam is on my to visit list:)
Wonderful pics. I don't want to rate them coz they are unique in their own way its been taken from a different perspective. Upload them on flickr and do share the link with us. You are right when you say that a good picture does not depend on a good camera but on a good eye.
Interesting set of pictures! Recently I came across a photograph which showed a man carrying a shark through the streets. Maybe you should google for it. Was kind of eery to watch. I guess that picture was voted as one of the most memorable pictures of 2010.
Shakespeare,Da Vinci, Benjamin Franklin and Lincoln never saw a movie, heard a radio or looked at TV. They had loneliness and knew what to do with it. Thay were not afraid of being lonely because they knew that was when the creative mood in them would work.

Super pics.
I likes the one where lamp is being lit. It so satisfying, so true and so honest.
It is interesting, those that you have selected as your best!
My favourite two are the fire (?) dancers - it is so vibrant, I could almost hear the beat they were dancing to.
And the empty bench with the empty path ...
